About Rob
Rob understands that learning to drive can feel exciting, daunting—or both at once. His lessons are friendly, calm and centred on the person in the driver’s seat.
Rather than forcing every learner through the same routine, Rob adapts each lesson to your experience, confidence and learning style. You will understand why a skill matters, have time to practise it and reflect on how it felt.
As a DVSA-approved instructor, Rob continues to invest in professional development, coaching and modern driver education. The goal is not to rush you towards a test; it is to help you become genuinely ready for independent driving.
Qualifications & professional development
Rob continues to develop his knowledge beyond the standard instructor qualification—bringing advanced roadcraft, modern coaching and a deeper understanding of driver behaviour into every lesson.
Advanced driving
Rob achieved a Gold award, demonstrating a consistently high standard of observation, planning, control and roadcraft.
Your lessons are informed by advanced-driving principles that help you read the road earlier, manage risk and make safer decisions independently.
Coaching & behavioural change
Delivered by Bright Coaching, the full 16-credit Professional Diploma is credit-rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority at SCQF Level 7 and is designed for ADIs and ADI trainers. Rob has completed Modules 1 and 2 and is continuing through the qualification.
Lessons can explore confidence, decision-making and the reasons behind driving behaviour—not simply teach routines to repeat on a test.
